About Harvest

How Harvest started

A church in two parts of the city and online. Some people here are new to Jesus, some have followed him for decades, and some are still deciding.

Our story

Twelve people and a school gym

In 2009, James and Ana set up folding chairs in the Westview Middle School gym. Twelve people came, and the coffee urn leaked all over the sign-in table. We rented that gym for seven years. The North building opened in 2016, the River location in 2021, and the online service started the week everything shut down in 2020.

The name comes from Matthew 9: “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” We think there are a lot of people in this city who would follow Jesus if someone invited them, so we try to make the invitation easy.

What we believe

What we believe

01

God made you

He knows you, and he loves you more than you think.

02

Jesus

He lived, died and rose again, and he offers a new life to anyone who follows him.

03

The Holy Spirit

He lives in everyone who follows Jesus and slowly changes us from the inside.

04

The church

We grow best when we know each other, which is why we push home groups so hard.

05

Everyone serves

Sunday takes about three hundred volunteers. Church isn’t something we watch.

Our team

Our pastors

James and Ana planted Harvest. Each location has its own pastor, and they all preach in rotation.
